The vestibular system is an integral part of a person's ability
to maintain balance, gaze stability and a correct interpretation of
their body in relationship to the environment. Vertigo is the
illusion of movement while dizziness can be defined as a combination
of subjective symptoms affecting balance, postural stability and
mobility .
Dizziness is a problem which can affect 40% of people over the
age of 40 years old. It is a common problem for people to visit
their doctor about and is often very difficult to diagnose correctly
due to its multi-system involvement.

Symptoms
The symptoms of vestibular dysfunction include problems
such as poor balance, nausea, dizziness, true vertigo, blurry
vision, poor depth perception, loss of balance, falling, confusion
and disorientation. So it is a complex problem which may involve
many different systems within the body.
However odd your symptoms may be, they do make sense if you have
a “dizziness” problem.
